John Patrick Foley

John Patrick Foley (b. November 11, 1935) is a Roman Catholic Archbishop, and the president of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications. He was ordained in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, in 1962, and was named an Archbishop and appointed to his present position in 1984. He holds a doctorate in philosophy and a master's degree in journalism, and has held positions with various organizations related to the Roman Catholic press.
