John P. Kelly (Philadelphia)

John P. "Jack" Kelly (born c. 1939) is a current At-Large Member of the Philadelphia City Council elected in 2004.

He was first elected as a member of the city council from the seventh district from 1989 - 1993.

Jack Kelly is a native of Northeast Philadelphia, and has four children with his wife, Kathleen. He began his career as a businessman working for Gould (formerly ITE Imperial Corporation).

Councilman Kelly has been integral in attempting to make Philadelphia the second city[1], after Chicago, to ban foie gras via city ordinance [2].
