John Osmond

John Osmond is a Welsh politician and member of Plaid Cymru. He is standing for Presli Pembrokshire constituency in the National Assembly for Wales election, 2007.
John Osmond grew up in Abergavenny and Little Haven, Pembrokeshire, where he has kept close links for the past 30 years.
He was educated at King Henry VIII Grammar School, Abergavenny and at the University of Bristol where he studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics. He has an MA from the University of Wales and is a Fellow of the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff.
An author and journalist, he was formerly a television producer working with HTV, BBC, Channel 4 and S4C. Previously he was a journalist with Yorkshire Post Newspapers, a political correspondent with the Western Mail, Editor of ARCADE, Wales Fortnightly and Deputy Editor of Wales on Sunday.
He is a member of the boards of the Pembrokeshire Darwin Centre for Biology and Medicine, the Academi Literature Promotion Agency for Wales, and Cynnal Cymru - the Sustainable Development Forum for Wales.
