John Francis Mooney (born February 10, 1982) is an Irish cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler who has played First-class cricket for Ireland since 2004. He had previously represented Ireland in the Under-19s World Cup of 2000.

Mooney also played in the Intercontinental Cup of 2004 in the Netherlands. His brother Paul also plays professional cricket. He has represented Ireland in the EurAsia cricket series of 2006, in which Ireland finished bottom of Group B with two losses from two games, and the C&G Trophy.
