John Lee Carroll (September 30, 1830February 27, 1911), a member of the United States Democratic Party, was the 37th Governor of Maryland in the United States from 1876 to 1880. He was born in 1830 in Baltimore, Maryland and died in 1911 in Washington, D.C.. He is buried at the Bonnie Brae Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Carroll was the great grandson of Charles Carroll of Carrollton the only Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence. He lived until 1832, being the last signer to die.
