John Kiffmeyer was the former drummer of the punk rock band Green Day. He played on their first album, 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours and several other EPs. He also sometimes goes by the name Al Sobrante. He left the group before they recorded their second album Kerplunk and was replaced by current drummer Tre Cool.
