John James (born January 21, 1949 in Panama City, Florida) is a former NFL punter from (1972-1984) for three teams. John is the father of four children, Helen, Matthew, Scott and Susanna. He has held the position of Executive Director of Gator Boosters at the University of Florida (where he played college football) since 1986.
