John J. Graham

John J. Graham is the designer & creator of the NBC peacock logo, and the NBC "snake" logo. He was born in New York City, September 25, 1923. In NYC, he attended the School of Industrial Arts (now The High School of Art & Design) and later, studied under Artist Jack Levine.

At NBC, in the early 1950's, John Graham as Art Director hired a young Andy Warhol to do some of his first commercial works.

In 1966, NBC President Julian Goodman appointed Graham Director of Design for the entire network.
