John Hesson

John E. Hesson, Hon. D.D. is a sedevacantist Catholic bishop from Mount Ephraim, New Jersey. He graduated from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania in 1963, then entered the major seminary department at St. Vincent Archabbey. Before ordination he earned a master's degree in Systematic Theology.
He was ordained a priest in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on May 20, 1967 in Camden, New Jersey by Archbishop Celestine Damiano, Bishop of Camden.
He was engaged in the diocesan educational apostolate for 15 years, including two years as dean of men and theology professor at St. Mary's Seminary, then as vice rector of the Cathedral. During that time he earned a master's degree in Moral Theology from the LaSalle University in Philadelphia, and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity.
He joined the traditional movement in November 1982 and has travelled to numerous chapels and missions. He was consecrated bishop on June 12, 1991 in Monroe, Connecticut by Bishop Oliver Oravec.
