John Hardy Steele

John Hardy Steele (January 4, 1789July 4, 1865) was an American mechanic, manufacturer, and politician from Peterborough, New Hampshire. Born in 1789 in Salisbury, North Carolina, he was a prominent factory owner and cloth manufacturer, who also served as Governor of New Hampshire. He died in 1865 in Peterborough, New Hampshire.
