John Henry Gilmore, Jr. (born September 21, 1979 in Marquette, Michigan) is an American football tight end for the Chicago Bears of the NFL. He was originally drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round of the 2002 NFL Draft out of Penn State University.

Gilmore earned a Bachelor of Science in recreation and parks management in 2001.

Gilmore drew a small amount of media attention on July 22nd, 2006, after he was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. Initially, the altercation started when Gilmore refused to leave a bar, and later refused to be handcuffed by police officers. [1]
Gilmore and his wife, Rebecca, are the parents of a son, Grayson, born March 11, 2007.[2]
