John Ferguson (rugby league footballer)

John Ferguson was an Australian rugby league player for the Eastern Suburbs club.

Canberra Raiders Star John 'Chicka' Ferguson, was one of the many legends to play the great game of Rugby league. Scoring the try in the 1989 grand final which ensured Canberra the ability to play over time and eventually win the game. His side step at the prodigious age of 36 (his final year in 1990) would often leave commentators and fans alike wondering, how'd he do that? with a great left step often beating 3 or 4 players, most memorably in the 1990 Grand final.
