John Ehret High School

John Ehret High School is a four-year public high school serving grades 9-12 located in Marrero, an unincorporated community in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. The school serves areas considered to be Marrero and a small portion of Westwego.
The school's mascot is the Patriot, and its colors are red, white, and blue. It is part of the Jefferson Parish Public Schools. John Ehret is the largest public high school in the state of Louisiana.
During Hurricane Katrina, the school suffered wind damage to many of its buildings.

- Basketball - The Ehret basketball team were the District 5A State Champions for the 2005-06 school year. An article has been written about their accomplishment in the April 2006 issue of Sports Illustrated Magazine, and ESPN's Tom Rinaldi chronicled the team's success on the August 29 edition of SportsCenter.
