John Dormand

John Donkin Dormand, Baron Dormand of Easington (27 August 1919 – 18 December 2003) was a British Labour Party politician.
Dormand was Member of Parliament for Easington, succeeding Emmanuel Shinwell, from 1970 to his retirement in 1987. He had served as a government whip during the 1974-1979 Labour administration.
Following his retirement, he received a life peerage as Baron Dormand of Easington, of Easington in the County of Durham in 1987.
