A John Deere Tractor is a tractor made by Deere & Company. John Deere Tractors are the top selling brand of tractor in the world. John Deere Tractors come in six different kind of tractors; Agricultural, Commercial, Construction, Forestry, Golf & Turf and Residential.

There are six different types Agricultural John Deere Tractors. Compact Utility Tractors, which are mainly used for lawn care and maintenance. Row-Crop Tractors, which are mainly used for work on agricultural farms. Speciality Tractors, which are mainly used for work on small farms, also known as a hobby farm. Utility Tractors, which are mainly used for smaller activities on an agricultural farm such as hay bailing, raking or moving implements. Four-Wheel Drive Tractors, which are mainly used for pulling implements that require extra power such as a large plow or disk bine. Track Series, which are also mainly used on agricultural farms for pulling implements that require extra power.

Commercial John Deere Tractors are generally used by individuals, rather than a hobby farm or an agricultural farm. Commercial John Deere Tractors are often used to pull small implements such as a lawn seeder or small plow.

John Deere Construction Tractors are often used by road construction crews working on public streets, roads, highways or freeways. John Deere Construction Tractors differ in color from the normal John Deere Tractors that are green in color. Construction Tractors are often orange in color.

John Deere Forestry Tractors are often used for work in a forest. John Deere Forestry Tractors are used to log woods, remove trees or remove tree stumps. There are six different types of John Deere Forestry Tractors; Feller Bunchers, Skidders, Forestry Swing Machines, Knuckleboom Loaders, Harvesters and Forwarders.

John Deere Golf & Turf Tractors are often seen in area such as a Golf Course where they are used to maintain the turf of the golf course. There are ten different types of John Deere Golf & Turf Tractors; Lightweight Fairway Mowers, Rough Mowers, Greens Mowers, Utility Mowers, Front Mowers, Specialty Equipment, Bunker Rakes, Gator Utility Vehicles, ATVs, Utility Tractors and Skid-Steers.

Residential John Deere Tractors are often owned by individuals for uses such as lawn mowing or recreational purposes. There are six different types of Residential John Deere Tractors; Riding Mowers, Zero-Turn Mowers, Utility Tractors, Gator Utility Vehicles, ATVs and Walk-Behind Mowers.
