John Dalley

John Dalley (born 1935) is second violinist of the Guarneri String Quartet was born in Madison, Wisconsin and studied with Efrem Zimbalist.

Formerly on the faculty of the Oberlin Conservatory, a member of the Oberlin String Quartet, a participant at the Marlboro Music Festival, and artist-in-residence at the University of Illinois, Dalley has since played extensively in the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand in recital and as soloist with an orchestra. He is on the faculty of the University of Maryland School of Music. Dalley plays a Nicholas Lupot violin from France, 1810.
