John Cremeans

John Cremeans is one of the first several on-air home shopping hosts in the home shopping industry. He is currently employed at HSN out of Clearwater, Florida, and has been with the company for over 17 years.

His moniker The Doctor of Shopology was given to him by a caller during his earlier days as a host. His travels have taken him to networks that have included American's Value Network, CVN - The Cable Value Network and currently HSN. One of his most popular shows was CVN's 'SoldOutrageous'. Cremeans and his late night band of characters took to the airwaves to sell anything from gold to electronics. 'SoldOutragous' was dropped from CVN soon after QVC, a rival shopping channel, bought the network. After the cancelation, the network received thousands of calls from disgruntled fans and the segment was back on the air.

Cremeans broadcast career started while he was a senior in high school where he worked at a local radio station - WIXK AM & FM in New Richmond, Wisconsin doing part-time night and weekend announcing. He later worked in talk radio at WRPX in Hudson, Wisconsin just outside the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota. He was promoted to News Director at both stations and later became the Station Manager at WRPX.
