John Burnham Schwartz is an American novelist.

Schwartz's Bicycle Days and Reservation Road have been translated into more than 10 languages. Schwartz' writing has appeared in publications including The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Boston Globe, and Vogue. He graduated from Manhattan Country School. He lives with his wife, Trinity School alumna and filmmaker Aleksandra Crapanzano, in Brooklyn, New York.[1]
[edit] Film adaptations
A film of Reservation Road is in production, due for release in 2007 and was scheduled to start filming in October 2006. Some of the scenes are expected to be filmed in and around Stamford, Connecticut. Schwartz and the film's director, Terry George, wrote the adaptation. Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Connelly are slated to star in it.
