Detective Sergeant John Boulton was a character in the long running British television series The Bill.

He was played by Russell Boulter and was in the series for nearly five years. Boulton was neither a corrupt officer nor a strictly honest one — he was not adverse to manipulating a situation to get a result, but the result in question was capturing a genuine criminal. He died after a fight with DS Don Beech.
