John Barnhill

Dr. John Barnhill is Chief of the Consultation-Liaison Service at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College and a lecturer at the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. His writings have focused on palliative medicine and the psychological consequences to medical illness.

A native of Dallas, he graduated from St. Mark's School of Texas. He then graduated with high honors from Duke University. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine before training at the Payne Whitney Psychiatric Clinic.
