John Alexander Macdonald (Prince Edward Island politician)

John Alexander Macdonald, PC (April 12, 1874 – November 15, 1948) was a Canadian politician.
Born in Tracadie, Prince Edward Island, he was first elected to the Canadian House of Commons in the riding of King's in the 1925 federal election. A Conservative, he was re-elected in 1926 and 1930. In 1926, he was a Minister without Portfolio and from 1930 to 1935. In 1935, he was called to the Canadian Senate representing the senatorial division of Cardigan, Prince Edward Island. He served until his death in 1948.
