John Addington

John Addington (April 19, 1952 - January 8, 1997) was an actor, playwright and film historian.

Born in Burlington, Iowa, Addington spent his whole life in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Southern Methodist University and then taught classes in film, including a class about Alfred Hitchcock. He and Hitchcock also became friends later in the latter's life.

Addington was a supporter and active member of unions, he was part of the Screen Actors Guild and AFTRA.

Prior to his death, he appeared in It's In the Water as 'Brother Daniel'.
