John Abramovic

John "Brooms" Abramovic (born February 19, 1919 in Etna, Pennsylvania; died June 9, 2000 in Ormond Beach, Florida) was an American professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association.
He played basketball at Winston-Salem State University before going on to play for three different NBA teams (and one NBL team) in the mid-1940s.
At 6 ft. 3 in., Abramovic played at the forward position.
Abramovic was the first player to score 2,000 points in college basketball history.
He led the nation in scoring for two straight years (1941-42, 1942-43).
He is a member of the Pennsylvania and West Virginia Sports Halls of Fame.
