John A. Rowland High School is a public high school located in Rowland Heights, California. It is part of the Rowland Unifed School District. The school mascot is a raider and the school colors are blue and gold.
The school was founded in 1964. The staff at Rowland High School includes a principal, 4 vice-principals, 7 counselors, 1 guidance technician, an SBCP coordinator, nurse and librarian. There are also 89 teachers, 21 clerical personnel, 3 campus peace officers, 2 campus aides, 13 custodians and 14 instructional aides.
In November 1999, the school was invited to attend the National Blue Ribbon Ceremony held at the Washington Hilton in Washington D.C. In addition, the Visual and Performing Arts Department was one of only eight schools in the nation to judged by the U.S. Department of Education as having "exemplary programs in the Special Emphasis Areas of Arts Education." Out of those eight, John A. Rowland High School was one of only three schools chosen to give a presentation at the National Blue Ribbon Ceremony
The school offers numerous Advanced Placement programs and outstanding performance arts which includes the Rowland Raider Regiment. The school currently offers the International Baccalaureate program.
