John A. Kelley

John Adelbert Kelley ("the Elder") (September 6, 1907 – October 6, 2004) was an American athlete. He ran the Boston Marathon 61 times, winning in 1935 and 1945. He participated in the 1936, and 1948 Olympic Games and was on the 1940 Olympic team, but the Games were cancelled that year.
Kelley was named "Runner of the Century" by Runner's World magazine in 2000.
Johnny A. Kelley should not be confused with 1957 Boston Marathon champion John J. Kelley ("the Younger") who bears no relation.
