John A. Denison

John A. Denison (John Denison) is an American politician. He served as a Judge and Mayor in Springfield, Massachusetts after attending Harvard University. Denison's son-in-law, Ivor Porter, is a retired Ambassador to several West African nations and Romania, and is the author of Operation Autonomous and King Michael. Denison's grandson, John Porter, is regarded as one of the world's "elite" mountain climbers and is Director of the Kendal Film Festival in Kendal, England; Denison's granddaughter, Mary-Evelyn Denison Porter, is a former member of the Board of Directors of Amnesty International, and his great-grandson, Jonathan Fantini Porter, is President of the Roosevelt Institution at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
