John-Henri Holmberg

John-Henri Holmberg, Swedish author, critic, publisher and translator, and a well-known science fiction fan since the early sixties when he edited Science fiction Forum with Bertil Mårtensson and Mats Linder and published innumerable fanzines of his own, before starting his professional career as editor and critic.

Born in Stockholm (1947) he lives now in Wiken in the very South of Sweden. As editor at Askild and Kärnekull, Lindfors, Bokförlaget Wiken and later with his own publishing house Replik he has published many American science fiction authors. A leading neo-liberal he also introduced Ayn Rand into the Swedish debate already in the sixties and later saw to the publication in Swedish of her main literary works.

He is a contributor to The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction edited by John Clute and Peter Nicholls, and has written three major studies in Swedish, so far the most comprehensive, a two volume work about science fiction and a one volume work about fantasy.
