Johann Adam Ackermann

Johann Adam Ackermann (1780, Mainz - 1853, Frankfurt am Main) was a German landscape painter of the early 19th century.

He first lived in Mainz and moved to Frankfurt in 1804. Johann Ackermann was known primarily for his winter landscapes and watercolours.

He is the brother of Georg Friedrich Ackermann (1787, Mainz - 1843, Frankfurt am Main), who also painted landscapes but with less success.
