Joe Azzato was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised on Long Island. He began starring in his own films when he got a second-hand movie camera as a gift. Amateur high-school and college films followed. He was art director and cameraman for WLIW in New York. Later he joined the Air Force and traveled around the world, finally settling in Austin, Texas. His first two movie appearances were foreign films: "My heart Belongs to Daddy" and "Making Contact" (aka "Joey").
He's played a tourist, a parapsychologist, a terrorist, a zombie, a mercenary, a school teacher, a demented killer, a bailiff, a restaurant customer, and a starship surgeon.
His film appearances include: "Fast Food Nation" "Homo Erectus" "Five" "Changing the Odds" "Crossed the Line" "Flashers" "Starship Exeter – The Tressaurian Intersection" "My Boyfriend's Back" "Mission Fastkill" "Making Contact" "My Heart Belongs to Daddy"
On stage he has appeared as the psychiatrist, Dr. Chumley in the play "Harvey" and he provides the voice for the animated character Neville "Noob" Fober in "Techies".
