Joey Yung Discography
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is the discography of Cantonese pop star, Joey Yung; four-time winner of the prestigious "Most Popular Female Singer Award".
Note: While in many parts of the world, like in the US, it is easy for A-list singers to get many times platinum, it is different case in Hong Kong. In Hong Kong it is difficult for even the best selling singers and albums to get certified even one time platinum. For example, the best selling album of 2004 only got certified two times platinum, with only around 10 more albums in the whole year also reaching platinum/double platinum. (Qualifications before 2005: Gold = 25,000, Platinum = 50,000 Qualifications after 2005: Gold = 20,000, Platinum = 40,000)

- The album didn't make it in to the 2001 IFPI Sales Awards, but its sales the following year helped it win a Top Ten Selling Album of 2002 award.
Note: The first HK IFPI Sales Awards held was in 2002 for the year of 2001. Therefore, albums that didn't win an award before 2001 does not necessarily it was not a top ten selling album of that year.
- it is not common for Hong Kong singers to release their singles on CD, which is why Joey has had only one despite having many singles (also known as plugs) promoted on radio and TV.
