Joey Clement

Joey Clement starting playing music in his early teens in Kirkland Lake where he grew up. Music came naturally for him and he learned mostly by ear. He started his first band at 15 and played in several high school bands until going to college in Ottawa. A few credits short of his computer programming degree, Joey got fed up and moved back to KL. He started recording demo's with his computer in 1998 and formed Too4Flynchen with some high school friends. After the Too4 demo's starting generating attention outside of the small town, Joey decided to try his luck in Toronto. He formed The Awesome Team with 3 other northerners and eventually the band garnered a good fan base and label interest. In 2005 TAT's video "The Last of my world" was playing regularly on much music. Shortly after touring with 'The Trews' and right before 'Warped Tour' dates TAT decided to go their separate ways. Joey still resides in Toronto and continues to compose music including scores for 'True Mongrels' , a short film made by his childhood friend Denis Chouinard. His song 'Kirkland Lake' still gets airplay on CJKL in the town that inspired the tune.Joey once made love to a great dane and was snubbed by his family.
