A Joevis is someone or something that must be protected by some, while being targeted for destruction by others.

Example: A player who has captured the flag in an online game such as Unreal Tournament 2004 becomes a Joevis.

The term may also refer to a newcomer to a forum or game who thinks him/herself to be superior to other, more experienced members or players.

Example: A Joevis joined our channel the other night. He wouldn't shut up so we banned him.
