Joel Stakes

The Joel Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in the United Kingdom for three-year-old and above thoroughbreds run over a distance of 1 mile (1,609 metres) at Newmarket's Rowley Mile course in late September / early October.

It was promoted to Group 3 class in 2003, having previously held Listed status. Prior to 1994 the race was known as the Main Reef Stakes, and before 1989 the distance was 1 mile and 2 furlongs (2,012 metres).
