Honorable Joel K. Asarch became a Nassau County District Court Judge in January 2001.

He earned his bachelor of Arts and Master Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law

He was formerly dean of the Nassau Academy of Law, the continuing legal education arm of the Nassau County Bar Association, as well as president of the Nassau County Bar Association.

He writes a regular column on Civil Procedure for The Nassau Lawyer, and is a contributor to One on One, the publication of the New York State Bar Association General Practice Section. He has also just won a term as Supreme Court Justice of Long Island. He was inaguarted on January 3, 2007.

He currently serves as an adjunct faculty professor at Touro Law School.

He also has a son and a daughter. His son goes to S.S.H.S., and is a metrosexual. I'm super serial.
