Joe Tasca

Joe Tasca is a news anchor, writer, and reporter for 920 AM WHJJ radio in Providence, Rhode Island. He's been in the radio business since 1998, starting at the former 1230 WERI in his home town of Westerly. Since then, he's worked part-time at Hopkinton's 96.7 WBLQ for parts of seven years. He was hired at WHJJ in June of 2006.
Tasca is probably best known in the Southeastern Connecticut area, having worked for John Fuller's Red Wolf Broadcasting at 106.5 WBMW from 1999-2001. In the summer of 2001, he became the first teenager (age 19) to anchor a morning newscast at 1310 WICH in Norwich, a Hall Communications station. He anchored the morning drive for WICH and 98.7 WNLC for parts of three years before leaving to pursue a master's degree in January of 2004.
