Joe Rooney

Joe Rooney is an Irish actor and comedian. He has recently become a household name in Ireland as a result of starring as Timmy Higgins in the RTÉ comedy show Killinaskully. However he is probably best remembered at home and abroad for his role as Father Damo (a parody of Damien from The Exorcist films) in the Channel 4 sitcom Father Ted. He also appeared as Fergus Scully, a roving reporter who speaks in pidgin English and Irish, on the TG4 sketch show Rí Rá.
