Joseph Carl Oeschger (May 24, 1892 — July 28, 1986; born in Chicago, Illinois and died in Rohnert Park, California) was a starting pitcher in Major League Baseball.
On September 8, 1921, Oeschger struck out three batters on nine pitches in the fourth inning of an 8-6 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. Oeschger became the fourth National League pitcher and the fifth pitcher in Major League history to accomplish the nine-strike/three-strikeout half-inning.
