Joe Murphy (born 21 August 1981) is an Irish football goalkeeper for Scunthorpe United.

He was signed after being released by Sunderland in 2006. He had also played for Walsall, Tranmere Rovers and West Bromwich Albion.

Joe is a former member of the Republic of Ireland national under-21 football team.
