Joe Morris (trumpeter)

Joe Morris (1922–1958) was an American jazz and rhythm and blues trumpeter and bandleader.
He recorded with Earl Bostic, Milt Buckner, Arnett Cobb, Dizzy Gillespie, Johnny Griffin, and Lionel Hampton, whose orchestra he left in 1947 to set up his own band.
The Joe Morris Orchestra featured, among others, Johnny Griffin, Elmo Hope, Percy Heath and Philly Joe Jones.
