Parallel Path Technologies is reportedly a perpetual motion machine. Such machines violate the known laws of physics. Claims of the development of such devices are considered pseudoscience by most scientists.
This article is about the inventor. For the American actor, see Joe Flynn (US actor).

Joe Flynn is an inventor of what he terms "Parallel Path Technology", a technology that claims to increase the efficiency of motors and similar devices. Flynn's website and patent applications (e.g. U.S. Patent 6246561 ) do not make specific claims as to efficiency gains; however his supporters claim a 3.5x improvement over a standard 98% efficient motor. As with the apparently similar Motionless Electrical Generator, this claim is conventionally understood to imply a violation of the first law of thermodynamics.
