Parallel Path Technologies is reportedly a perpetual motion machine. Such machines violate the known laws of physics. Claims of the development of such devices are considered pseudoscience by most scientists. |
- This article is about the inventor. For the American actor, see Joe Flynn (US actor).
Joe Flynn is an inventor of what he terms "Parallel Path Technology", a technology that claims to increase the efficiency of motors and similar devices. Flynn's website and patent applications (e.g. U.S. Patent 6246561 ) do not make specific claims as to efficiency gains; however his supporters claim a 3.5x improvement over a standard 98% efficient motor. As with the apparently similar Motionless Electrical Generator, this claim is conventionally understood to imply a violation of the first law of thermodynamics.
