Joe Bambrick

Joe Bambrick, (born in Belfast, 3 November 1905; died in Belfast, 13 October 1983), was a former footballer who at club level played for Chelsea, Walsall, Glentoran, and Linfield. He scored a magnificent 12 goals for Northern Ireland, including six in one game against Wales. He was also believed to have scored almost 1000 goals in his 15 year career. He inspired the fan chant "head, heal or toe, slip it to Joe". There is no doubting that Joe Bambrick was one of Northern Ireland's greatest ever strikers.
