Jody Wisternoff is best known as one half of Bristol progressive house legends Way Out West and as a producer of dance music spanning early 90's hardcore to slick electro house.
His first break came in the late 1980's as one half of Tru Funk Posse (with his brother Sam) when Bristol producers Smith & Mighty opened up their studio to the two pre-pubescent hip-hoppers. Their tracks were playlisted by British DJ Tim Westwood and the brothers even made it into cult magazine The Face.
In the early 90's Jody Dj'd at massive raves like Universe and Fantasia, playing early breakbeat and hardcore tracks whilst producing classic records like 4am with DJ Die (now of Reprazent fame) under the name SubLove.
However Jody became increasingly tired of the aggressive nature of the hardcore scene and a meeting with fellow DJ Nick Warren in a Bristol record shop saw the birth of the progressive house act Way Out West. Fusing the dub sounds of Bristol with club beats the duo had huge success in the mid to late 90's with tracks like "The Gift" and "Ajare".
Recently Jody has been producing 80's inspired electro house, with tracks like "cold drink, hot girl" setting him apart from the competition.
