Jodi Behan

Jodi Behan, born 1984, is a Canadian actress best known for her appearance on a popular viral video clip, "Bride Has Massive Hair Wig Out", in which she played a bride so unhappy with her hair on her wedding day that she starts to cut it off. First uploaded to YouTube on January 18, 2007, it was viewed almost 3 million times before being removed on February 2. When Behan was identified as the bride in the video, it was revealed to have been staged as part of a promotional campaign by Unilever for its Sunsilk brand of hair care products.[1]

Jodi was born in Toronto and is one of 5 kids, the fourth youngest.[citation needed] She is the daughter to Rod Behan, stock broker, and Susan Behan.[citation needed] She studied at Randolph Academy of the Performing Arts and had previously appeared in some independent student short films. Studies the Meisner technique with John Riven. In the wake of her exposure as the purported bride, she and her fellow actresses made a round of media appearances in the hope of attracting producers' attention for parts. The accomplished film director Norman Jewison said, while reviewing the video before her identity was revealed, that if it was a fake, her performance was "hilarious" and he would cast her in a role.[2]
