Jockin Arputham

Jockin Aruptham is a Tamilian from Bangalore,India.
He was the winner of the 2000 Ramon Magsaysay Award for Peace and International Understanding. He has a long history of struggle for the rehabilitation and better facilities for the slum dwellers in India as well as abroad. He is the president of the National Slum Dweller's Federation.
He is currently residing in Mumbai.
