Jochen Hecht (b. 21 June 1977 in Mannheim, Germany) is a forward in the National Hockey League. Along with Marco Sturm, he is one of the few German-born players in the league. In the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, the St. Louis Blues selected him in the second round, 49th overall, from Adler Mannheim of the German elite league.

Hecht spent three more seasons in Germany, before playing one season for the Blues' American Hockey League-affiliate, the Worcester IceCats. After just two full seasons in St. Louis, Hecht was dealt to the Edmonton Oilers along with Marty Reasoner and Jan Horacek for Oilers' captain Doug Weight. That same year he had the privilege of playing for Germany at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah.
That summer, Hecht was dealt to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for a pair of early second round draft picks, with which the Oilers selected Jarret Stoll and Jeff Deslauriers. During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, he again returned to play for Adler Mannheim, becoming German vice champion with them.Jochen Hecht started his third season with the Buffalo Sabres in 2005-06. During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, he finished seventh in Deutschen Eishockey Liga scoring with Adler Mannheim. In the playoffs, he scored a league-best 20 points as the team reached the playoff final. In 2003-04, he scored a career-high 52 points despite playing in just 64 games. At the international level, Jochen has represented Germany at five World Championships (1996, 1997, 1998, 2004, 2005), two Winter Olympics (1998, 2002), two World Cups (1996, 2004), and four World Junior Championships (1994, 1995, 1996, 1997). 2005-2006 season playing for the Buffalo Sabres Played 64 games scoring 18 goals 24 assists. Buffalo Sabres made it to the Eastern Conference finals unfortunely the Sabres lost to the Carolina Hurricanes in game 7. 2006/07 Compensation: $2,350,000.00. Jochen was given the chance to play in the 2006 Torino Olympic games but due to an injury was unable to play.
