[edit] Peak District

Thanks for your very informative edits in the Peak District article. I've been tidying the article a bit (see the discussion on the talk page), and I wondered if you could insert sources for the historical material? I'm afraid I don't have much reference material to hand in this area. Thanks. Espresso Addict 00:45, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Glad you found it informative - happy to be edited of course. I am the National Trust Archaeologist for the East Midlands, so all of these comments come from my own knowledge of the Peak District rather than a specific source. I kept them deliberately objective and don't think I put anything in that isn't well-known. However, I do appreciate the need for verifiable sources - will try to add a few as I come across useful ones! Best regards Belljar 14:27, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for responding. Any sources you can find would be much appreciated. The fact I was particularly anxious to confirm is the Neolithic date for the Margery Hill site, as the National Trust sign there states it's Bronze Age, and I've been unable to confirm an earlier date from online searches.
