Joaquín Botero

Joaquín Botero Vaca (born December 10, 1977 in La Paz, Bolivia) is a Bolivian striker, who currently plays for Club Atlético San Lorenzo de Almagro of the Primera División de Argentina.
Botero previously played for Pumas and Club Bolívar, in the 2002 season, he led the world ranking in scoring goals (with an astounding 49 goals to his name). In his first season with Pumas, the 2003 Apertura, Botero scored three goals in 17 games. After scoring another three in nine games in the 2004 Clausura, Botero broke out in the 2004 Apertura, registering 11 goals in 19 games. Now he arrives to the Argentinian league in a new personal challenge.
