Joanna Kerns

Joanna Kerns (born Joanna Cruise de Varona on February 12, 1953) is an American actress and director best known as Maggie Seaver on ABC's 1980s sitcom Growing Pains.
She has appeared in numerous made-for-tv movies and has directed episodes of television shows such as Dawson's Creek. She also directed episodes of the NBC TV series Titans in 2000 as well as episodes of the TV series Scrubs.
She is the younger sister of Olympic swimmer Donna de Varona, and is of Mexican and Irish extraction.
