Josip "Joško" Domorocki is a former Bosnian football player. He was born in 1917 in Sarajevo where he lived for most of his life.
When he was 17, he started playing for Hajduk Sarajevo. Two years later, he went to Belgrade to serve in the army. Since he was in Belgrade, he played for Jugoslavija at the time and even for B national team. In 1940, he came back to Sarajevo and played for SAŠK. When the World War II ended in 1945, he went to FK Željezničar where he spent the rest of the career. He was never injured, which is impressive since the football was very rough at the time. He was also a locksmith.
He dedicated his life to football and FK Željezničar. One thing though will be remembered more than any other. When FK Sarajevo (FK Tropedo at the time) was created in 1946. by the autorities, they ordered several best players of FK Željezničar to go and play for new club who should (by their opinion) represent Sarajevo and Bosnia-Herzegovina on national level. Joško Domorocki refused. Very brave thing to do if we consider that new communist government was not so liberal to those who think different. Later, they offered him a flat and two new suits (it was a big thing then), but he refused again and continued to play for Željezničar. He played for the club for six years. After his playing days were over, he continued to work in FK Željezničar.
