WikiProject Paintball News edit
  • It has been strongly suggested by fellow member Three ways round that we add references and sources to our articles and make this our priority for now, as expansion and addition of articles has been slow of late. Go find an unsourced article and get some good references! Together we can make the WikiProject Paintball more authentic and encyclopedic. RavenStorm, Lead Coordinator
  • Greetings all! It has been proposed on the Paintball WikiProject talk page that a quality rating system be created for articles within the Paintball Category. Please read the short discussion there and leave your opinion; also, if you are interested in joining the ad hoc 'rating committee', feel free to say so. Thanks! ~ Maximilli, Assistant Coordinator
Category News edit
  • The player positions pages have been renamed according to game type to be more accurate.
  • Two more subcategories have been created: Woodsball, and Speedball. If any new pages are created that are related to these, please use their respective category tags instead of [[Category:Paintball]]. Thanks!
Priority Tasks edit
To continue the project's drive toward FA status for the Paintball article, please review the project news and spend some time going over the article.
Sources: Articles such as Glossary of paintball terms have been tagged for not citing sources. Be sure to check around for more of these articles, and see if we can find some resources that can validate our information.
Current priority: The Paintball variations article needs to be synchronized with all other articles that mention variants of paintball games or paintball game types. Remember, to be consistent, that 'variants' are variants such as CTF, while 'game types' are woodsball, speedball, et cetera.

Welcome to the Paintball WikiProject! I hope you enjoy it here and stay busy; I can personally relate with bored people, as I'm afflicted by it as well (a common disease, it would seem). ;) At any rate, we're happy to have you.

I'm the assistant coordinator of the project, which basically amounts to nothing, other than the fact that I deal with the heavier questions, especially those about the project itself, when our lead coordinator RavenStorm is away (which he is now). If you're ever bored and want something to do, just drop me a line here, and I'll get back to you shortly with something that will hopefully fit both your interests and skills.

In fact, one of our members is currently undergoing rather heavy work on the Tippmann page and would probably like some help with the markers section. I'd be helping him myself, but unfortunately I have a rather busy social life nowadays and my other projects here (especially woodsball and woodsball/scenario strategy) demand my attentions. Anyway, if you're interested, leave a message at Three ways round's talk page, and I'm sure he'd be happy to give you some more specific details.

So yes, I'm brimming with tasks for people with itchy fingertips, so don't hesitate to ask, and again, welcome to the project! :)

P.S. - About the news template: we usually keep that at the tops of our talk pages, so it's visible and frequently seen. Really, though, do whatever you want with it - move it, delete it, whatever. You can check out my talk page or click on the bold brown "x" in my signature if you'd like an example. ~ Maximilli, 05:45, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
